What to Do

Hang Out on Campus
Visit with our horses, Dana and Dodge. Attend a woodsmen competition. Play disc golf, or learn about our academic programs in everything from culinary arts to ecological.
Where to Eat
The Ganzi
Located on the first floor of Cantwell Hall, our on-campus restaurant offers a farm-to-table menu throughout the semester. (It’s also where our Food Service & Beverage Management and Hotel & Restaurant Management students learn the ropes!)
A.P. Smith's Bakery
Also in Cantwell, our student-run bakery dishes out sweet and savory treats three days a week while classes are in session, along with hot chocolate, coffee, chai lattes, and more.
Morehouse Dining Hall
Housed in the student center, Morehouse is our all-you-care-to-eat lakeside dining facility that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night menus.
Donnelly's Ice Cream
This Saranac Lake staple says they’re the best in the Adirondacks since 1953—and judging by the number of times Smitties visit, it’s hard to disagree.
Blue Line Brewery
Built on the site of a former car wash, Blue Line in Saranac Lake is known for their pizza, pours, and cheerful hospitality. (Try the wings and mac & cheese too!)
The Downhill Grill
Smitties who frequent this dine-in or take-out restaurant on Main Street go for the fish and chips, concerts, and cozy ambiance.
